About LaRock Media Group
Writing. Video. Digital content. Real-world experience.
LaRock Media Group is an independent communications and content studio operated by Marc Larocque, a writer and media professional with a career spanning journalism, communications, video and digital media.
Before launching LaRock Media Group, Marc spent more than 15 years working in newsrooms and communications roles across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
His journalism career began at The Boston Globe, where he worked on the Metro desk while attending Northeastern University. He later spent more than a decade reporting for The Taunton Daily Gazette and The Brockton Enterprise, covering everything from breaking news and public safety to politics, government and community affairs.
He subsequently joined Providence Business News, where he continues to contribute long-form reporting and writes a weekly real estate newsletter covering Rhode Island property transactions and development.
Along the way, his work has received recognition from organizations including the Rhode Island Press Association, Alliance of Area Business Publishers and New England Newspaper & Press Association.
Today, Marc’s work extends beyond traditional journalism into strategic communications, writing, photography, video production, social media and digital content. He has produced written and visual content, short-form video, photography and digital communications for a wide range of public- and private-sector clients.
That combination of journalism experience and modern digital production informs the way LaRock Media Group approaches every project: understand the story, create something worth sharing, and make sure it reaches the right audience.
